Why Albertus?
Steps for Accepted International Students
Secure your seat to become an Albertus Falcon by submitting your enrollment deposit! Enrollment deposits are $400 for students who intend to reside on campus or $350 for students who intend to commute to campus.
Submit the non-refundable enrollment deposit via your Applicant Status Page by May 1, 2025. If you have any questions while submitting your deposit, call the Office of Admissions at (203) 773-8501 or contact your Admissions Counselor.
After submitting your enrollment deposit, a deposit packet will be mailed to your home address on file containing important documents.
Once you are admitted and after you submit your deposit, it is important that you work with your Designated School Official (DSO) or Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) on obtaining your I-20 and making your SEVIS Fee payment.
The I-20 form is a requirement by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for all international students studying in the U.S. The document allows the holder to attend school in the United States and travel in and out of the country legally as a student. Before a SEVIS accredited school can issue an I-20 we must have proof of funds shown. Proof of funds is a document that proves a student and/or their sponsors have adequate finances to cover tuition, fees, and living expenses estimated for one academic year. The bank statement provided must be dated within 6 months of the I-20 being issued.
All international students (except citizens of Canada and Bermuda) are required to obtain a F1 visa before arriving to study in the US. In order to do so, you must complete the DS-160 Form and schedule a visa interview. For more information, please visit the Travel.State.Gov page and click on the 'Where can I find the DS-160' button. We advise students to schedule their visa interview as early as possible (visas can be issued as early as 120 days prior to the start date listed on your I-20). Please email international@albertus.edu if you'd like to schedule a mock visa appointment to prepare for your visa interview. Albertus international staff emphasize that flight tickets should not be purchased until an F1 visa has been issued.
If you have any questions about the I-20 process please email us at international@albertus.edu.
