Title IX at Albertus Magnus College
Dear members of the Albertus Magnus College Community:
On April 19, 2024, the U.S. Department of Education has released its new Final Rule, or regulations, under Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in education programs or activities receiving federal financial assistance. The new regulations have an effective date of August 1, 2024.
We are actively assessing the new Title IX regulations to gauge their potential impact on our existing policies and procedures. Our commitment to transparency and inclusivity with our campus community remains steadfast throughout this evaluation process, and we will share additional updates when they become available. In the meantime, our current Title IX policies and procedures remain in full effect.
More information about Albertus Magnus College’s Title IX policy is available at: Albertus Title IX

Members of the College community, guests and visitors have the right to be free from all forms of gender, and sex-based discrimination, examples of which can include acts of sexual violence, sexual harassment, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking. All members of the campus community are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that does not infringe upon the rights of others. The College has a zero tolerance policy for gender-based misconduct. Should any member of the College community experience any of these behaviors they are highly encouraged to contact the College's Title IX Coordinator.
The Title IX Coordinator oversees the College’s response to Title IX reports and complaints, identifies and addresses any systemic problems, and takes any necessary steps to ensure the safety of the Albertus Magnus College community. Students, faculty, staff or visitors participating in any College program or activity who allege that they have been subjected to discrimination on the basis of sex/gender, may contact the Title IX Coordinator to bring their concerns forward.
