Andrea Kovacs
Vice President for Marketing & Community Relations
Andrea provides senior leadership for the College’s undergraduate and professional and graduate studies (PGS) admissions, enrollment operations, financial aid, inter-collegiate athletics, communications and marketing, community engagement, and legislative affairs. Prior to joining Albertus in 2010, she directed the Annual Fund at Fairfield University and was Senior Vice President for Marketing and Community Relations for United Way of Eastern Fairfield County where she was also responsible for individual gift fundraising. Andrea earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from the Fashion Institute of Technology (SUNY) and her Master’s in Leadership from Albertus Magnus.
Sarah Barr
Media Communications Specialist
Sarah is the point person for media inquiries and external promotion of Albertus Magnus College, which she joined in 2018. A journalist by trade, Sarah is a four-time News Emmy nominee, a businessperson, and is deeply rooted in the community through her work with the 224EcoSpace and the Greater Hartford Arts Council. Sarah earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in politics and history from Temple University.
Hannah Hayes
Strategic Communications Manager
Hannah is a brand strategist specializing in multimedia campaigns that increase student engagement and achieve institutional goals. With her extensive experience in creative direction and writing, Hannah brings a unique perspective gained from working with renowned television networks and digital publications. Deeply passionate about amplifying the voices of marginalized communities, Hannah earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Communications from Albertus Magnus College.
Sam Tyrrel
Digital Content Producer
Sam leads Albertus’ footprint across all digital media platforms. Prior to joining Albertus in 2023, Sam worked with the American Red Cross coordinating volunteers to Florida following Hurricane Ian and shared stories and testimonials via social media. She also ran the social media and created graphics for Youth Entrepreneurs, an academic enrichment program with a focus on STEM. Sam is completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing at Southern Connecticut State University.
