Kierran Broatch Kierran Broatch
Interim Vice President for Advancement

Kierran Broatch has more than 18 years of experience working in higher education advancement and nonprofit leadership. He joined the Albertus Magnus College community in May 2022 from Sacred Heart University, where he served as Executive Director of Development. Broatch earned a B.S. in Communication from Eastern Connecticut State University and his M.S. in Organizational Leadership from Quinnipiac University. Throughout his tenure at Albertus, he has led the day-to-day operations of the Advancement team, assisting in planning and implementing long- and short-term strategies to secure support from alumni and friends through major, annual, and planned gifts. Broatch also successfully launched the Tagliatela School of Business & Leadership Advisory Board and a new gift planning program that has secured more than $5M in commitments to date. As Interim Vice President for Advancement, he is responsible for strengthening relationships with key stakeholders and expanding a culture of philanthropy to support the College’s Growth Mindset and its strategic plan priorities.

Brian Fernandes Brian G. Fernandes

Brian Fernandes has more than 30-years experience in higher education, including more than two decades as Chief Enrollment Officer. Brian joined Albertus Magnus College in 2023 and is in charge of inclusively welcoming students who desire a values- and liberal arts-based education. Prior to this, Brian served as Vice President for Enrollment Management at Dominican University New York. His career also includes a variety of roles at Iona University including Adjunct Professor of Management and academic administration roles for Iona’s graduate programs in the School of Arts and Science. Brian earned his MBA in Organizational Behavior at Iona and received a Diploma in Personnel Management and B.Sc. in Physics from St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai, India.

Andrew Foster Andrew Foster

Andrew A. Foster has over 24 years’ experience working in Catholic Higher Education Institutions.  He joined the Albertus Magnus College community in 2005 from Fairfield University, where he served as Sr. Associate Director of Financial Aid. Foster earned a B.A. in Psychology from Sacred Heart University and a M.A. in Leadership from Albertus Magnus College. Throughout his tenure at Albertus, he served as the Director of Financial Aid, Dean for Student Services, and now serves as the Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students. As Vice President for Student Affairs, Andrew is responsible for managing and providing strategic leadership and oversight for a variety of offices within the full-time traditional undergraduate student affairs division.

Andrea Kovacs Andrea E. Kovacs
Vice President for Marketing and Community Relations

Andrea Kovacs is charged with developing and implementing a comprehensive communication and marketing strategy that enhances the College’s public image; strengthens the Albertus brand; and supports strategic initiatives. Andrea brings a diverse creative background in communications, brand management, marketing, and fundraising to her work. Prior to Albertus, Andrea directed the Annual Fund at Fairfield University; she was Sr. Vice President for Marketing and Community Relations for United Way of Eastern Fairfield County, also responsible for individual gift fundraising; she lived a previous life in the fashion industry. Andrea earned her B.S. in Marketing from the Fashion Institute of Technology (SUNY) and her M.A. in Leadership from Albertus Magnus College.

Rosa E. Rivera-Hainaj Rosa E. Rivera-Hainaj, Ph.D.
Vice President of Academic Affairs & Dean of Faculty

Dr. Rosa Rivera-Hainaj has more than two decades of student-centered higher education experience. A self-described servant-leader, she’s in charge of the academic programs and faculty at Albertus Magnus College. Rosa joined Albertus in 2023 after serving as Provost at McDaniel College in Westminster, MD, and previous administrative and faculty appointments at Our Lady of the Lake University, Lorain County Community College, Purdue University North Central, James Madison University, and John Carroll University. Rosa holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Puerto Rico – Mayagüez, and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. As faculty, she has taught chemistry and mentored students in undergraduate research; published her research in various journals; and presented her accomplishments at numerous conferences and forums around the world.

Lauri Strimkovsky Lauri Strimkovsky
Vice President for Finance and Administration (VPFA)

Lauri Strimkovsky supervises and leads the College’s business and finance areas, which includes the bookstore/campus store, dining/food services, facilities operations, human resources, and purchasing. Lauri brings more than three decades of finance and administration experience in higher education, and last served as VPFA at sister Catholic institution, John Carroll University in Ohio. Her deep background in this arena includes vice president roles at Ohio Wesleyan University, Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, Moore College of Art and Design in Philly, and Clarkson College in Nebraska. Lauri earned her BSBA in Accounting at Samford University in Birmingham, AL and her MBA at the University of Missouri.
