Flu Vaccination Information

Flu season arrives annually in mid-Fall and is at its worst the last week of December and first week of January.  The 2022 flu season is expected to be significantly worse than recent years and to start a little earlier than usual.

With both COVID-19 and Flu circulating, it's important to know how they are similar and how they are different. The CDC has an excellent page that reviews Similarities and Differences Between COVID-19 and Flu.

Flu vaccines and COVID-19 vaccines are available on campus and in the community and are strongly recommended.  It takes 2 weeks for your body to respond to a vaccine, so it's important to plan accordingly.  Experts recommend that everyone ages 6 months and up* get a flu vaccine before the end of October.  *not including individuals with a medical contraindication to immunization.
