Albertus Magnus College Earns Four PRSA-CT Mercury Awards
Communications and Marketing Team Recognized for Five Consecutive Years
New Haven, Conn., December 19, 2022 – Albertus Magnus College is humbled to earn four Mercury Awards – two silver and two bronze -- from the Public Relations Society of America Greater Connecticut Chapter (PRSA-CT). The College received a silver Mercury Award for its Multicultural and Diversity campaign that supports First-Generation family decisions. Another silver was awarded to Albertus for excellence in Reputation/Brand Management for when First Lady Dr. Jill Biden and US Education Secretary Miguel Cardona visited the campus last July. Two bronze-level achievements were also recognized: Black Brilliance for excellence in Blogs; and Esports, More Than Fun and Games for excellence in External Communications.
A special congratulations goes out to Sr. Ana Gonzalez, O.P. of the Albertus Admissions team for her ongoing commitment and outreach to First-Generation college students and their families, helping them navigate the college application process. A shout-out goes to Alex Mitchell ‘21 who edited the video featuring the First Lady and the Secretary. And a special thank you is also extended to Jeremy Peterson ‘20, who is the Esports Advisor.

The December 13 PRSA celebration was held in person for the first time since 2019.
Albertus also hosted the event for the first time ever – showcasing its recently renovated
Hubert Campus Center. For the past five years, Albertus has won PRSA honors for a
wide range of categories from website redesign to social media messaging; and from
video storytelling to media relations.
