Q: What does B.S. in Nursing stand for?
A: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Q: How many credits are required to earn a B.S. in Nursing?
A: 126 credits.

Q: Why does the course catalog list only 66 credits for the Nursing program?
A: The catalog breaks down credit hours into core, general studies, and electives. Carefully review the entire Nursing section to see the total of 126 credits.

Q: How long does the program take to complete?
A: Without transfer credits, it is 3 years or 36 months, which also includes prerequisites.

Q: Do credits from my LPN program transfer?
A: No, LPN program credits are non-transferable due to accreditation requirements. However, you will earn 22 credits by holding an LPN license, meeting the NACE requirement, and obtaining Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Q: When is the NACE exam required?
A: The NACE exam is required once prerequisite requirements are met and the application process for the second stage of admission into the LPN to B.S. in Nursing program has begun.

Q: Is this program fully online?
A: No, courses are offered in a combination of Flex and Online formats.

Q: What is Flex?
A: Flex courses are hybrid, meaning they include both in-person sessions on campus and online components.

Q: When do in-person evening courses begin?
A: In-person evening courses start in the first week and continue throughout the program.

Q: How can I check my application status?
A: Visit your Applicant Status Page, which shows received and missing documents, your application status, and available start terms. Check frequently and contact your admissions counselor if needed.

Q: What does Admit-Waitlist mean?
A: Seats are limited, so it's important to submit the required documents as soon as possible. Once a cohort is full, admitted students without a seat will be placed on a waitlist for that start term.

  • Waitlisted applicants are ranked in numerical order based on their date of admittance.
  • If no seats become available two weeks before the term begins, waitlisted applicants are moved to the next available start term and admitted automatically, bypassing the waitlist.
