DescriptionSandra Fomenko, MSN, APRN, CPNP-PC, AGPCNP-BC, comes to Albertus Magnus College with 16 years of nursing experience including clinical practice and academic instruction. Most recently, Sandra was on the nursing faculty at Lincoln Technical Institute where she instructed licensed practical nursing students in Medical-Surgical Nursing, Maternal Child Health, and Anatomy & Physiology. She has worked in several healthcare settings as both a registered nurse and advanced practice registered nurse, practicing in adult and pediatric medical-surgical nursing, cardiology and telemetry, endocrinology, and school-based nursing. Sandra graduated from Yale University with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Pediatric Nurse Practitioner specialty; Quinnipiac University with an MSN Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner specialty; and Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU) with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). She holds a BS in Biology from SCSU and an MS in Molecular & Cell Biology from Quinnipiac University. She is dual board certified with the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She is passionate about nursing education and implementing successful transition from the role of nursing student into clinical practice.
