Photography Student Perspective
While at Albertus, Adam Lein ‘98 was the art editor for the college literary magazine “Breakwater”, and modernized its production by switching to printing digitally. During the summer of 1997, his graphic design skills landed him a job as a designer at Digital Equipment Corporation in Littleton, MA. Shortly after that he began contributing to instructional graphic design books such as the “Illustrator Wow book” and “Acrobat Master Class” and quickly became a part-time tester for software development companies such as Adobe, Macromedia, Microsoft, and others.
"Attending Albertus Magnus made me feel like I could finally be my own independent person."
After graduation, Adam started a graphic design job in Westchester, New York where
he remains today, though his responsibilities and skills have grown over the years.
In addition to his full time position, he does fashion, wedding, portrait, and event photography in the evenings and on the weekends which often gets published in online magazines.
To keep his taste of technology satisfied, he has also been a journalist at Pocketnow
since 2002 where he reviews smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other mobile technology
devices.
