The beloved Sister Maria Patricia Devaney, O.P., was a devoted professor and staff member of the Albertus Magnus College community. In her honor, a 75% tuition reduction is awarded to incoming freshmen with a minimum 3.7 cumulative high school GPA* and minimum SAT scores in Critical Reading and Math of 1200 (no component score lower than 500). This scholarship is renewed annually provided the student maintains a 3.5 cumulative GPA.
This $10,000 scholarship is awarded to incoming freshmen with a minimum 3.2 cumulative high school GPA* and minimum SAT scores in Critical Reading and Math of 1100 (no component score lower than 500) OR a 3-year documented history of community service (minimum of 40 hours per calendar year). This scholarship is renewed annually provided the student maintains a 3.2 cumulative GPA.
In honor of Mother Stephanie Mohun, O.P., co-founder of Albertus Magnus College (1925), a $7,500 per year tuition reduction is awarded to students from Catholic high schools who have an average cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better*, SAT score in Critical Reading and Math of 950 with no component score (Critical Reading/Math) lower than 400, and one letter of recommendation. This scholarship is renewed annually, provided the student maintains a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
This scholarship is a $6,000 tuition reduction for students who are transferring to Albertus Magnus College from an accredited institution with a minimum of 30 credits and a cumulative GPA of 3.0. The scholarship is renewed annually, provided the student maintains a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
The Longstreth-Rudnick Science Grant offers up to a $7,500 tuition reduction. Eligibility requirements:
This grant is renewable annually provided the student maintains a cumulative 2.0 GPA.
This grant is offered to students attending high school in New Haven, North Haven, West Haven, East Haven, Hamden, Orange, and Woodbridge who meet the following eligibility requirements:
To be eligible for these grants, students must complete and submit a 2010-2011 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
These grants are renewable annually provided the student maintains a cumulative 2.0 GPA.
Sister Francis de Sales Heffernan, O.P., was a beloved and dedicated professor at Albertus Magnus College. She served as the President of the College from 1974 through 1982. She also served her Dominican Sisters in many leadership roles, including Mother General and Prioress of the Motherhouse. In her honor, a $2,500 per year tuition reduction is awarded to students who graduate from a Catholic High School with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better. This award is renewable annually provided the student maintains a 2.5 cumulative GPA
