Course: Human Health and Disease (SC-110-1)
This course is designed to allow students to gain insight into basic concepts of human health and disease. Topics studied include our body (cells and organs), cancer, genetic disorders, aging and more. More importantly, students will be able to personalize their learning by choosing topics that are of interest to them. This student-driven exploration gives students the opportunity to find answers to the questions relevant to their own lives. Students will also gain an understanding of how the scientific method is applied to resolving current problems in the sciences.
