Tomoko Takahashi, PhD, Soka University's Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, was interviewed by BBC Radio for the documentary "Rosa Parks - Quiet Revolutionary," which was broadcast on 2/23/13, commemorating Parks' 100th birthday (February 4) this year. You can listen here.
Dr. Takahashi was the official translator of Mrs. Parks' three books into Japanese - "Rosa Parks: My Story," "Quiet Strength," and "Dear Mrs. Parks." She cherished her friendship with Mrs. Parks, spending much time and traveling with her to Mexico, Japan, Canada, Atlanta and Florida.
