In 1994, Albertus Magnus College awarded its first graduate degree: the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies. This was a logical choice, building on and extending the liberal arts tradition of the College. Today, Albertus provides eight graduate programs to meet the needs of business professionals, educators and non-profit leaders, as well as the lifelong learner who loves to challenge his or her mind. Our graduate evening programs are accelerated and are offered face-to-face in a traditional classroom setting, or in blended or online format.
Albertus Magnus College is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc., through its Commission on Institutions of Higher Education. All Albertus Magnus College undergraduate and graduate business programs are nationally accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education. Our Master of Arts in Art Therapy program, the only one in the state of Connecticut, attracts students from throughout the country and abroad; it is accredited by the American Art Therapy Association.
The Liberal Studies program here at Albertus is a full member of the Association of Graduate Liberal Studies Programs, an international group which includes such distinguished institutions as Duke University, Georgetown University, Dartmouth College and The Johns Hopkins University.
