Course: Sociology of Communications (CO-220-1) 

Introduction to the sociological perspective of communications, especially mass communications. Distinction between mass communications and interpersonal communications. Includes language and society, models of communication processes, the nature of the audience in society, functions of mass communications in society, some comparative and historical work.
