Course: Art in Counseling and Therapy (AT-520-1) 

An experiential course in which students work independently in the studio, under the guidance of a faculty member, on their own art productions and art processes. Students are required to demonstrate experimentation with and develop knowledge of a variety of art media. Through this personal exploration of media and technique, students will demonstrate an increased awareness of the psychological, cognitive, and emotional responses to their own creative process. Students will develop increased empathy for the client experience and an improved understanding of the role of the counselortherapist. 3 credits
